This is by far one of the best selling stickers i have in my collection.
In the world of UFOs and unexplained phenomena, few names are as iconic as Project Blue Book. This U.S. Air Force investigation, which ran from 1952 to 1969, sought to uncover the truth behind thousands of UFO sightings reported across America. Actually, the U.S. Air Force began studying UFO’s back in 1947, starting with Project Sign which ran from 1947–1949, then later turning into Project Grudge which operated from 1949–1951 and finally Project Blue Book, ending in 1969. With its mix of classified files, mysterious encounters, and unanswered questions, it’s no wonder Project Blue Book continues to fascinate believers and skeptics alike. Dr. J. Allen Hynek (pictured above) was the infamous scientific consultant for all three projects.
The goal of Project Blue Book was twofold: to determine whether UFOs posed a national security threat and to scientifically analyze UFO-related data. Over its 17-year run, the program collected more than 12,000 reports of unidentified flying objects. While most sightings were explained as natural phenomena or misidentified aircraft, a small percentage—roughly 700 cases—remained unexplained. These cases are what keep the legend of Project Blue Book alive today.
What makes this project so intriguing is its blend of science and mystery. On one hand, it sought logical explanations for strange events. On the other, it fueled speculation about extraterrestrial life and secret government cover-ups. The fact that many files were classified for years only added to the allure. And also very important to mention that unfortunately the program had a secret mission to debunk and stigmatize people who reported experiences. This was the government’s way of controlling the media and narrative on this topic and to put off any serious researchers. This is still a common play in the government handbook.
As someone who loves diving into the unknown, I’ve created a sticker inspired by Project Blue Book. It’s a tribute to the curiosity, wonder, and enduring fascination with the possibility of life beyond Earth. Whether you’re a UFO enthusiast or simply love a good mystery, this design lets you carry a piece of history with you.
Ready to show your love for the unexplained? Grab your Project Blue Book sticker and join the ongoing conversation about what might be out there in the vastness of the ether. Because, after all, the truth is still out there.
